A possible strategy for a gap year?

Hi guys, I don't know whom to ask. I am a Software Engineer with 10 months of work ex. I don't like this job, I'm in support role sadly in mnc. I really want to quit so bad and start prep CAT full-time. Do you think this is a viable option? I was thinking if I give CAT in Nov snd then start prep for CFA level 1, this doesn't feel like gap right? So thus, avoiding gap and getting a certification. Is this strategy in valid?
