Withold fed tax on bonus to avoid refund for 2025 tax year

By the IRS calculation for witholdings and taxes owed for 2025 I would get about 1k refund for the tax year.

Bonus is coming up and Id like to exempt my bonus pay from fed taxes (over 1k in fed taxes but i can adjust a few dollars additional next paycheck), again to avoid a refund.

HR confirmed I can do this one time so not worried about that, just checking if this makes sense to avoid a refund and break even/pay a few dollars in 2026.
