What events / activities for May?

Hello Peorians! I grew up in Peoria, and I am returning for this month to visit family. It's been a couple years since I have stayed for an extended period of time. I was hoping there would be a SCamp fest but just my luck that it's not happening this year. So, this brings my questions: What are some fun things you like to do during this time of year? What events are coming or activities happening this month? Any new places that have popped up?

I also have my dog with me, so anything we can do together is a plus, but not required. (Detweiller is always on the list)
