AITA for saying my daughters job was easy
I have a daughter 26f.
So she works as a tutor to teach English for elementary and middle school kids and somehow makes quite a bit of money doing it.
We paid for her university education fully she got a degree in STEM and it cost us around 100,000 dollars. When she originally started her job as a tutor we figured it was just temporary but she doesn't seem to be switching at all. This is like her full time job now. She earns around 51,000 dollars doing this which seems crazy to me because I tutored during my high school and university and made like 1/10th of that. I was dissapinted she isn't using her degree for anything worthwhile.
Recently she was talking about her job and how she was teaching this one kid when I told her "you know you're lucky to be making 50,000 a year tutoring some people it's like a job anyone can do" she immediately got offended but it's true. I told her that frankly she was wasting her time and energy tutoring these kids when she could use her degree to do some actual good. I also told her she was overpaid for what she did. My husband worked as a fisherman for 2 decades and still only makes around 55,000. So for the little work she did she made quite a lot.
When I told her this she got super offended at me for "judging her career choices" and being downright mean. Now I admit I was a little rude but I was telling the truth. Tutoring is very easy and I don't understand why she's making this much of it.
