What does no one want to admit tariffs aren't even slightly the reason

This is like the only place where I feel like I can openly talk about this without getting jumped but even my old man who voted for the orange man even he admits the increase at least on hardware stuff is definitely on the tariffs but no.... Everyone else just wants to ignore it why

Like seriously why do some of the people just straight up refuse to admit that they are definitely at least partially the reason why these price increases are happening
