[TOMT] Pre-teen Fantasy Book Series

Hi everyone! Can you help me find the name of a fantasy book series I used to love?

It had around 8-10 books and were in the pre-teen fantasy category, so little to no romance.

It centered around 3 girls who discover a wildlife rehab/volunteer place is a portal to a magical land. The story started when a new girl moves into town (she’s our main character). The other two girls become friends with the new girl and keep the secret. One girl is very girly, the other is a tomboy.

Some of the books would focus more on one of the three characters, but the majority focused on all three and their adventures.

Each of the three girls gained a magical animal sidekick. The girly girl character got a leopard/big cat; the tomboy got a wolf; the new girl I can’t remember what animals sidekick she got.

The only other details I remember is some of the books focused on the girls learning different lessons about themselves. I.e. the girly girl who was a little self-centered had to learn to do things for others. The tomboy was a bit of a loner so she had to learn to be a team member, etc.
