Faulty Compressor- Replace Part or Replace the entire unit?

AC

Hi all! I’m not that knowledgeable about A/C units, so really want some of your guys’ input.

So I got this Daikin R32 Split A/C for roughly 2 1/2 years now. Honestly probably both due to poor maintenance on my part and/or bad luck, I had a Low Refrigerant error code.

The Tech i hired tried to check for leaks, and got a higher than normal Resistance reading (48.8ohms across the wires) or atleast thats what they said, so they tried a replacement EEV Valve, charged with refrigerant, the pressure is not being within expected range (im just basing this all from how they explained it to me)

Ending: Faulty compressor, needs to be replaced.

Now they quoted me for the cost of replacing it with a Secondhand compressor, plus labor cost plus refrigerant charging costing roughly 220USD (converted from my local currency)

A new unit, most from what i see that are available are 1hp Units at roughly 470usd to 550usd for a brand new unit.

Do you think I should just shoulder the cost for a new Unit plus peace of mind or go for the replacement Second hand compressor?

What are the odds that a replacement compressor would just be faulty again?

Sorry abt the grammar, english is not my loval language lol
