What is one scene in the book that you really wish was in the movies?

I'm reading LOTR for the first time and when I came to the Barrow Wights I just thought: that would have been so cool on screen. They are these creepy tomb spirits that seem like a combination of dementors, nifflers, and Ring Wraiths.

Especially with Jackson's horror movie background I think he could have done this really well and it's just a bummer that it's not in there, but curious what other chapters you think should be in the movies but aren't.

I have so many other thoughts and feelings on the books, but I'm writing out a lot of my thoughts and publishing them on a substack if anyone wants to read my essays: https://substack.com/@firsttimereaders

As well as on YouTube if anyone wants to watch: https://www.youtube.com/@firsttimereaders
