Unanswered Stranger Things questions that low-key keep me up at night

Stranger Things is my comfort show. I’ve watched it more times than I can count. But despite how much I love it, I can’t stop thinking about some of the everyday logic questions that never get answered: 1. How did Brenner even get his job? Was there an interview process? Where was he working before this? Who recruited him to run such a top-secret program? 2. Who the hell built that Russian base under the mall? Some contractor must’ve wondered why they were installing plumbing and wiring in a massive underground facility. Were these union jobs? 3. Why was the mall full of people—including kids—on the 4th of July after hours? Did no one in Hawkins think that was weird? 4. People are seriously injured or killed every season. How did they show up at the hospital without the staff noticing something major was going on? Did no one ever report suspicious injuries? 5. What was the explanation for all the damage to the middle school? Did the school district just quietly pay for it? 6. Does Vecna eat? Use the bathroom?? Is there just a dark little waste pile hidden somewhere in the Upside Down?

I could keep going but I’ll stop there. Anyone else have weird little questions that keep them up at night?
