C'roo volunteering question

Hey y'all, I'll be volunteering at Roo for the first time this year (3rd year overall). I was accepted for during fest volunteering, I was hoping for pre-show volunteering. Is it difficult to switch with someone when time gets closer and assignments are given? Or is it by seniority type deal? I'm coming no matter what :) just like to prepare early. Thank you!
