Would the judge dismiss a speeding ticket (more than 15, less than 25) if the officer isn’t present?

Traffic and Parking

Hey everyone,

Just trying to get some opinions. My father told me that for every speeding ticket he got, he would go to court and get them dismissed as the officer never showed up. On the day of my ticket, I made sure to ask if I can pay it online, as court seemed like a hassle and I was very occupied with school and work. He replied yes and explained how to do it, I was kind of hoping to have him leave the scene thinking I was going to immediately pay it so he doesn't think he would need to show up. Question really is, is this worth the trouble of going to court to see if I get lucky, or should I just pay it? I have the money and points to as I haven't had a ticket in over 6 years, I just would like to avoid my insurance going up, and with my local area most officers don't really care about speeding aslong as it isn't over 20; I just got unlucky as people say the cop that pulled me is a notorious butthole (in terms of attitude).
