Maybe it was a quick death…right?

Speaking about Ampert. I’m just telling myself that maybe the first Squirrel went for his throat or something? Maybe he passed out from pain/shock when the attack first starts? I just can’t reconcile that boy suffering for that many tiny bites. I refuse to believe it. My head cannon is that he did not suffer.
