AIO - I feel like I’m being gaslit but I have no idea?

I (23F) got into a heated discussion with my mum & aunt (45F & 56F) and I’ll explain what happened.

I have lived quite an isolated life, and it’s because of my mental health. I would like to point out that I didn’t know about any of this ethical stuff until after this incident happened. ‼️

So, bit of a background, my mother works in that kind of job where you’re not allowed to discuss private things/there’s confidentiality but she’s always talking to my aunt about it, and about people’s situations and people anyway, so I was under the impression that it was normal… I just thought that it was fine for me to discuss something with my dad. The thing I discussed with my dad (I won’t go into detail about it) was something to do with somebody that we both knew, and that it was important information (it sounded like) so I wanted to tell him so he was kept in the loop about this person. Unbeknownst to me, I had no idea that I wasn’t supposed to talk about this whatsoever. When I told them that I let my dad know, (it felt like it was the right thing to do) they started getting really weird/rude towards me saying that it was wrong of me to tell him and that I shouldn’t be spreading around stuff like this because my mum could get into trouble with work and that if she does get into trouble, it will be all my fault because I was the one who opened my mouth. So basically if she lost her job, it’s my fault. I expressed to them that she’s talking about things to people outside of work so she’s in the wrong about it in the first place and that I expressed that I had no idea that this was a thing and if I did, I wouldn’t have said anything. I didn’t know, and I wish I could take it back. :( they didn’t want to hear it from me and still said I was wrong for doing this and completely shut me down… they’re also angry with me that I told my dad because they don’t like my dad at all, I’ve been raised around the negative comments about him. They don’t have a nice word to say about him at all and this isn’t the first time they’ve pinned the blame on me for a few things when their behaviour has been like this. It’s a common occurrence when they do these types of things then shift the blame to someone else who’s ‘weak’ because it’s ‘easy’
