I recently went ring window shopping and I had the chance to try on a round cut. It was so much prettier in person, and was so sparkly. I was never really a fan until now. It looks timeless and classy.

I was initially set on getting a kite ring. I find them unique and fantasy-like (like the one in the photo but I prefer a brilliant cut) however I'm worried about chipping. I also haven't managed to see one in person, The pictures I've seen so far don't do them justice (they look cloudy or dull?). I understand that they won't sparkle the way as round cut diamonds. I did however see this video posted by a redditor and it looks gorgeous! I've talked to some jewellers, for the round cut the details are: IGI 1.5ct-2ct, VVS1, Excellent cut

kite cut details: IGI 1.5ct, VS1/VS2 (Hasn't mentioned the cut grade)

Would anyone like to share a video or more pictures of their kite shape diamond ring and the details of them? I'm really not sure which one to choose, I'm stuck between something timeless vs something unique.

Struggling to pick between a Round cut or Kite cut (please share your kite cut diamond rings!)
