I'm reaching out with humility and respect to ask for your insights.

For those of you who have navigated the process of asking someone to donate a kidney, how did you approach it?

My aunt has kindly offered to be my donor, but that was a year ago and she hasn’t taken any steps toward evaluation. She generally avoids going to the doctor, so I worry her offer may have been more of a gesture—possibly to prevent her daughter (my cousin) from feeling obligated. (I'm extremely close w/her daughter)

I'm struggling with how to move forward in a way that’s honest yet respectful. Any advice or experiences you'd be willing to share would mean so much.
