I absolutely hate it when people complain about lack of quality in animation memes

I recently had a mutual on tiktok that made a video complaining about how artists "lack creativity" nowadays and it's all head bops and tweening and people were agreeing.

Like, no shit these artists are usually teens who have limited time to be doing frame by frame animations. Plus, the really cool animated memes they showed as an example of artists being creative back then were made by people who were already in college and major in art at the time. Trends don't last as long as they did back then as well so people feel pressured to make a video doing a trend that would last a week.

Don't get me started on how these artists just make them for fun. They literally take the time and effort to plan out, draw, and tween these animation memes that take a long time to make because they like doing it and they like sharing their stuff with others. These artists aren't being paid to entertain you, no one is forcing you to watch their animation memes, and they definitely do not owe you anything.

What gets me is that this mutual isn't even good at art or tweening and has made these types of animation memes a couple of times before they privated them. It gets on my nerves especially because he acts so high and mighty when it comes to tweening and shits on me for my tweening not being as good as his as if I'm not dealing with tweening fully rendered art where I need to worry about shadows, lighting, and detailscwhile he does solid black and white doodles.

Idk I just need to get this off of my chest.
