Is there enough content to keep me going for a while?

This isn’t a “convince me to play the game” post, I’m just genuinely curious how much content there is with it being in early access. I started playing last night, got past the goblin attack and started training chef because I have a soft spot for any cooking stuff in games, even if it’s not the most interactive.

But is there enough content in the game to keep me going for a while? Is it worth the sub price to get the stuff past the second area? Also wondering if I should finish all the skills available to me in the first two areas or do the other skills interact with them in some way? Kinda confused on how skills act with the different “acts” of that makes sense.
