Tokyo 7-Day Trip – Transport, Shopping, and First-Time Tips?
Hi everyone!
I’m visiting Tokyo for the first time next month and staying 7 days in Anshin Oyado Shinjuku. I’ve been reading sample itineraries and noticed that people often split the city into areas (like west, east, and central Tokyo) to make travel more manageable. I’m thinking of using a Suica or Pasmo IC card—is that the best option for a trip like mine? Or would a subway/day pass make more sense?
I’m also planning to shop quite a bit—mainly at Don Quijote and Uniqlo—but I saw that there are many branches. Are there flagship stores or better locations that you’d recommend for wider selection or unique items?
I’ve also read that Japanese denim is famous for its quality and craftsmanship. If anyone has a favorite spot to shop for jeans in Tokyo, I’d love to hear it!
Lastly, what would you say are the must-see spots in Tokyo for a first-timer? And if there are any overrated places I can skip, that’d be helpful too.
Thanks a lot—I’ve done some research but would really appreciate advice from those who’ve been!
