Shot Timer Update Notes - May 7, 2025

This update makes the shot timer work better and adds new Bluetooth audio features.

What's New & Improved?

  • New Model for mounting to accessory rail, or lanyard
  1. Bluetooth Audio:
    • You can now connect the timer to Bluetooth speakers or headphones to hear the beeps wirelessly.
    • A new "Bluetooth Settings" menu lets you:
      • Connect/Disconnect your Bluetooth device.
      • Adjust Bluetooth volume.
      • Scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
      • Set auto-reconnect for your device.
      • Adjust timing to sync Bluetooth beeps with the buzzer (see below).
    • Selecting a device after scanning now tries to connect immediately.
    • A silent signal helps keep some headsets from disconnecting automatically.
  2. Bluetooth Beep Sync:
    • Use the "BT Audio Offset" setting to adjust timing until the Bluetooth beep matches the buzzer sound perfectly. (I'd recommend starting with -400 or so)
    • The timer automatically uses this setting for start beeps in Live Fire and Noisy Range modes for accurate timing.
  3. Smoother Operation:
    • Internal changes help prevent the buzzer sounds from interfering with the timer's main functions.
  4. Better Sound Control:
    • Important timing beeps (like the start beep) are now handled separately from general feedback sounds (like success/error beeps). This makes sure the Bluetooth timing adjustment only affects the start beeps.
  5. Improved Start Beep Handling:
    • The timer is better at ignoring the start beep sound itself, waiting slightly longer before listening for shots, which helps prevent false starts.
