Michael Jackson, the "family" man.
Just a note, this is NOT about Michael's kids at all. I'm talking about his relationships to other families and adults.

We all know Michael came from a broken family, Joe's violence has been well documented and Katherine's passive behavior as well, she stood by and watched her sons get beat and her daughters get sexually assaulted. She found out Joe was cheating and instead of turning her anger on him, she beat the crap out of the girl he was cheating with, and brought Janet and Randy with her to do it.
So the family business wasn't just music and entertainment, it was violence, threats and coercion.
Michael was an incredibly underhanded jerk, he wanted to be the biggest talent and in many cases the only talent.
In his book in 2013 Clive Davis stated that Michael purposefully tried to kill off Jermaine's career in the mid 80s. Davis signed Jermaine and later while working with him he hired Kenny Edmonds for Jermaine's forth album, MJ ripped Edmonds away for his OWN projects.
Clive states that Jermaine was incredibly upset and deeply hurt that his brother would do such a thing to him, which led to him penning the song "Word to The Badd" telling the world that Michael Jackson was a shallow and selfish man. Michael called Davis demanding that the song be removed.
Bob Jones also mentions this incident in his own book, Jones also confirmed that Michael destroyed Rebbie and LaToya's careers.
Rebbie was signed to the MJJ label and she stated that it was one of her biggest mistakes, she did a lot of press before the album was released and when the single dropped, her CD all but disappeared from stores and she alleges that Michael was campaigning to kill the careers of family members, she claims that he paid off people, studios and radio stations to not play any of their music.
Don't forget as well that he signed 3T to his own label and they were only able to get really popular outside of the US, just as Michael wanted. He couldn't let anyone have their own talent or careers, and it burned him up inside that he couldn't do the same thing to Janet.
He loved playing the victim in any and all situations, turning anyone else into the bad guy, and he also loved turning others against them, but it didn't stop with his own family, he did this to his victims and their families as well.
Michael continued the family business into his adulthood, he used every trick in the book of manipulation to get what he wanted and he broke apart families to get it. He wasn't searching for a family to replace his own dysfunctional one, he was seeking to destroy his victim's ability to tell their family what was happening to them, he wanted his victims to doubt their own connection to their family, and think he was the only one who was truly right, honest. Like when he told James after they spied on a conversation between James' mom and dad that women were always talking about people behind their back.
He turned Jordan away from his family, from friends Jordan's age because "Michael was the only one who understood" him, he successfully turned Eddie against Frank turning the trial and he tried multiple times to convince the Cascio parents that Frank had betrayed him "Oh my god, can you believe what Frank has done?!"
Michael Jackson was a calculated and manipulative person who continuously lied, schemed and destroyed anything and anyone who got in the way of what he wanted, whether it was fame or money or more victims.
