As soon as I finished my purchase the page reset and it won't validate my account. Is this a scam?

I bought the game and as soon as I finished my purchase the page reloaded and my account won't update after clicking the email validation. Has anyone else had this problem? Why isn't this game on steam or somewhere where it would be easier to access?
