We had amazing chemistry, but now she’s distant. Do I leave it?

25M here. I met a 23F through Reddit. We were both looking to meet new people. After a few chill messages, we went to a gig together last week.

In person, the chemistry was strong. She was warm, playful, and very physically affectionate — honestly more forward than me. We kissed a lot, got very handsy, and clearly enjoyed each other’s energy. She told me she’d recently come out of an abusive relationship and wanted to take things slow. I respected that and didn’t push anything.

The next day, I sent a cheeky message referencing the night before. She replied flirty but briefly. Later that evening, she said she felt embarrassed for being “overly physical.” I responded warmly, reassured her I had a great time and didn’t think she embarrassed herself, and suggested something more relaxed next time (a walk, no pressure, nothing physical unless she wanted it).

Since then, the vibe’s changed. She’s taken 24+ hours to reply, keeps it short, and hasn’t acknowledged my suggestion to meet again. I also offered to pick her up from the station when she came back to town (she’d mentioned taking a late train), again framing it as “only if helpful, no pressure.” That message’s gone unanswered too.

What I want: To either explore something slow and safe with her, or close this out respectfully. I’m not trying to rush anything — just not keen to sit in limbo.

My question: Should I just leave it now and move on? Or send a short message like, “No pressure at all — if this isn’t something you want right now, I totally understand”?

I don’t want to come off as needy, but I also don’t like ghosting and guesswork. Would appreciate thoughts from anyone who’s been on either side of this.

TL;DR: Met a girl on Reddit, great chemistry in person, she was very affectionate but later pulled back. I’ve been respectful and low-pressure, but now she’s replying slowly and not really engaging. Do I leave it completely, or send a brief message to close it out respectfully?
