I'm a leftist, but I hate the internet left with fervor
This is not my first experience of the style, but I remember I made a post on r/atetheonion, about a writer who made satirical comments about a certain population sector, and that people had taken it seriously.
Apparently it's also very good to eat the onion, because all of a sudden people turn on me and say things like "you're wrong. That person deserves the worst because the academic consensus says so," and they proceed to not give any sources.
Then I started discussing how that sub had become an echo chamber on r/redditforgrownups, and criticized the faux progressivism of the internet (people who have no problem cancelling or accusing others, without having done thorough research, or who believe that social progressivism is yelling a lot on social media about how you're right). Literally that's all I said; I didn't cite any names or any real life political situations.
Suddenly I become a MAGA and a bigot of the worst kind.
If you're going to complain about dogmatic attitude or people using your ideologies as if they were insults, please don't do the same.
