Cat keeps hanging on front door lip to look out window.

Hi everyone! Cat dad of two, my oldest cat Missy (5 years old) has started to become curious of the outside world! she’s been getting daily morning strolls and walks outside (~20-35 minutes) and when we come in she is fine. About three months ago she started to walk towards our front door and hang on the lip (Solid wood door, one window at the top which spans to about 4’8 feet) and it’s worrying me because i do not want her claws getting stuck or her ripping it out when i am not home. I have taken her down every time and sternly say no (a word i like to think she knows) but she still insists on doing it. I was thinking about a cat hammock and attaching it so she has a place to lay, any other advice or suggestions are appreciated!!
