Heart burn like a mf

I'm taking methimazole. I've heard some people say that they get really bad heartburn while on it. I'll be tapering my dose down in the next few days because my t4is normal again but I've started to notice an increase in heartburn, specifically the kind that kind of aches in your chest has anyone else had this and what kind of ppi do you take to combat it
