190 Visa Lodgement Questions

Subclass 190

Context:
My partner moved to Australia in mid-2023 to pursue her Master’s degree. During that time, I accompanied her for a month, and we both stayed at a friend’s residence. We used that address temporarily to set up our bank accounts and Service NSW accounts. Shortly thereafter, we secured long-term accommodation for my partner, and I returned offshore to continue my employment until the end of 2023.

To be noted, I had already lodged an Expression of Interest (EOI) as an ICT Security Specialist before coming to Australia. My ACS assessment outcome recognized both my Bachelor’s degree and my work experience in the field.

During early 2024, I fully moved to Australia with my partner, leaving my full time job in the other country (not my home country) and I subsequently secured full-time employment in the same field in Australia, for which I claimed additional 5 points after completing 1 year.

Current situation:

I have recently received an invitation to apply for a Subclass 190 visa and am currently gathering the necessary documents but got stuck with technicalities in a few areas.

Questions:

I would appreciate help and clarification on a few points:

  1. I have completed an Executive Master’s in Business Administration, which was not included in my ACS assessment as it is unrelated to my current occupation. Should I still include this qualification in my visa application? If yes, do I need to upload the certificate and transcript even though I am not claiming points for it?
  2. Despite not claiming points, should I mark the Executive MBA as my highest qualification in the application?
  3. Could the inclusion of an unrelated qualification (Executive MBA) have any effect on my application as an ICT Security Specialist?
  4. During my initial short trip to Australia, I stayed at a friend’s place from where I also opened my bank and Service NSW accounts but I left for another 5 months. Should I include this address in my address history section of the visa application (and police clearance), even though it was temporary but was in the photoID card that we issued?
