The Credit Pros Helped a Bit, But I Had to Stay on Top of Them Constantly
I used The Credit Pros last year after my student loans hit deferment and some old debts got sold to collectors. I was overwhelmed and didn’t want to deal with all the back-and-forth myself. They promised a full-service approach—credit monitoring, disputes, even budgeting advice.
While they did manage to get a couple items removed and gave me helpful reminders about payments and utilization, I found that unless I was constantly checking in, nothing happened. It felt like I had to manage the service that was supposed to be managing my credit.
After six months, I canceled. They weren’t bad, but they didn’t blow me away either. I ended up finishing the process by doing it myself and honestly saved a lot of money that way.
Anyone else tried The Credit Pros? Were they more hands-on with your case or did you have to babysit the process like I did?
