Ned marrying Catelyn

Would Ned still marry Catelyn or even Lysa under these circumstances? The betrothal between Catelyn and Brandon is broken around 277, Brandon knocked up the eldest daughter of Greatjon Umber. Marrying her after she became to show. Rickard wrote to Hoster explaining the situation and proposing another marriage for the alliance with Ned and Lysa marrying. Hoster rejected the proposal instead betrothing Catelyn to Jaime.

That was later broken as Jaime joined the Kingsguard. Lyanna disappeared on her way south to Storm's End to marry Robert. Brandon rode to King's Landing in search of his sister. Rickard and all of Brandon's companions save for Brandon die.

Brandon, for whatever reason, is spared. Aerys then calls for the heads of Ned and Robert. The Stormlands, the North and the Vale rise in Rebellion. Needing more men. Ned and Jon Arryn go to Riverrun for Hoster's help.

Hoster will only agree to help if Ned and Jon marry his daughters. Ned was to become Lord of Sea-Dragon Point once it was finished being built.
