Transference

is it me or does it seem like anytime transference is brought up lately that the result is termination? On this sub and a couple of others that seems to be the response from Therapist these days. I grew up in therapy where we worked through that and saw it as a powerful opportunity to heal. But it seems today’s especially younger. Therapist are not secure or maybe they feel threatened and I’m wondering how much of it has to do with they’re afraid of a liability.

any thoughts? I’d really like to hear why some are automatically terminating the second someone brings up attraction or transference
