Tap to pay stopped working.

iPhone 12pro. My phone will no longer work at tap to pay. All cards same issue. It is as if the reader cannot see it’s there. I don’t get any response from the card reader. I’ve have been using Apple Pay since the day it came out so it’s not that I don’t know how it works. Anyone else had anything similar or know a way to resolve. Could it the NFC went bad, is that a thing?
