Major discrepancy between my Dexcom monitor and glucose tester

Today, when I wake up, the dexcom was showing 163 mg/dL, I usually don't have this numbers in the morning so I used my regular glucose tester an it showed 123 mg/dL. Anybody has had these discrepancies, if Yes, why is this?
