Should i take a drop?

Hey i am 17 M i am 1 year younger than most neet aspirants ad this year i dont think i will get a government medical college as i am younger than other competetors i am thinking of taking a drop my parents are telling me to go to a private college but i dont wanna burden them financially and i know i can do better than this so if someone can advice me pls do
