Kindred and Cainites of who had children when they were embraced, how did it go?

Has anyone ever had to deal with the trials and tribulations of raising a mortal child post embrace.

How did you do it? Did you simply leave them? Become a distant figure? Was hands on parenting ever possible? Do you regret it?
