Why did Maeve change her mind after she told Otis that things were good between her and Isaac after they kissed in France?

I get she wasn't really thinking straight for a while at this point, but she seemed to tell Otis with quite a lot of conviction that things were good between her and Isaac, but then Otis and Isaac go with her to foster mum and that makes her completely change her mind?
