Solar Footprint + EV charging etc = Balance with 'Petrol Stations'
I reside in NSW and have a history of working with Woolworths Supermarkets.
My local store has a ~100kW solar installation on its rooftop. <100km at another store they also have a substantial solar array based on the population it is catering to. In the town of Young NSW, where I have also visited, their store, adjacent to a Big W, has a Solar Array that is situated above the car-park.
ALDI boasts about their use of renewables and the stores I have seen in person have solid arrays.
As far as I know my local competition Coles eventually got in on the action as well.
My consideration is why wouldn't it be in the interests of these sites to provide free juice to vehicles capable of taking advantage of such a service? I think its obvious the benefits (positive brand image, loyalty, progressive, has people coming for the free fuel spending money in the store as they wait they otherwise would not have, etc) however...another thing all these stores have in common is that they also have a local/attached 'petrol station'
...Wouldn't it "upset" ICE drivers that PH/EV owners got extra perks? Is this a potential reason such a benefit hasn't been rolled out (more-so - Not familiar with such an existing scheme)
