Cannabis and Oral Health (not smoking it)

Trying to figure out if dry vaping cannabis flower will make my periodontitis worse, or (hopefully) not. I know to beware of dry mouth. One dentist commented on another post it should be fine as there is no high heat or combustion. But I wonder…..is there anything in the cannabis itself that is harmful to gums/oral health, like even if taken by edibles? I use a medically certified high quality device and have quite smoking entirely and don’t drink, hoping the dry herb vape and/or edibles is ok.
