PTSD tolling. Workplace injury.

Location: MA

Sorry for a long post, but could use some help and advice.

In 2019 I was injured at my last employer, labrum tear in shoulder requiring surgery and months of physical therapy. Worked the shop of a contracting company, heavy equipment, delivering to job sites, repairs etc.Was with them 8 years, always told I do a good job even promoted a few times. We had a heavy sand blaster usually requiring multiple people to move, that I unfortunately showed up to an empty job site after being told there would be help, angry at how often that happens i stupidly attempted moving the machine myself which i believe caused my injury.

Dealt with a sore shoulder for about a month until it got worse, and my supervisor sent me to the doctor. After the appointment, I filed a wc claim and was put on light duty, and from that moment until I was fired the boss would ignore talking to me like usual , I also went from having semi annual performance meetings to now having weekly meetings, sometimes twice a week where I would be screamed at about how I sucked at the job, couldn't even respond or get a word in most the time.

Daily text and emails even after work about how things are bad and I need to do better. Couldn't sleep because of the pain and the stress, my doc put me on anxiety meds which I had a bad reaction to causing me to be to dizzy to drive, I had to call out 2 days after starting the medication and inform my boss about the new meds which he responded I am unfit for the job while on the new meds and gave me a week to get off them or I would be fired.he also gave me one week to have a MRI scheduled, even though that's the insurance company's job, or I would be fired.

During this time he hired 2 inexperienced people to help me out, they constantly messed things up leading me to forgo light duty and jump in to get things done, when I brought up how they weren't working out and my so called help made things worse causing me to jump in when I shouldn't, I was threatened to be fired again.

I did have a lawyer at the time, and talked to my doctor, and the wc doctor plus the lawyer of how I didn't feel safe at work anymore but they all told me to stick it out.i was mentally done from the pain and abuse, even to the point of saying I'm going on a parts run as an excuse just to park somewhere and break down mentally in the truck. I asked for personal days and brought everything up to the boss which his response was go f myself. I took the days anyway calling in sick even tho I ran out of allowed sick time, and They fired me.

I know MA is an at will state but for My mental health I was seriously so worried of being at work at the time. My lawyer said I had a case and helped me along with wc stuff. Had a few phone calls with the lawyer up to the surgery and was told to relax and call him back when I'm feeling up to it after I heal up.

A month after surgery my anger I had of the situation diminished, I was fatigued and just robot mode going to pt.Around this time and even up until now I have had dreams of confrontation and stressful situations of my last job. panick attacks started to hit me at PT and at job interviews when they asked me about my last job, I started ignoring calls from the wc insurance company, felt physically sick and light headed when the lawyers number or insurance number would pop up on my phone.

I know I could of asked for help from family and fumbled it, but I for some dumb reason ignored all future calls, emails, text and letters involving my wc case. Lawyer dropped me due to no communication, I stopped really talking to family, haven't talked to any friends in years, no dentist or doc appointment for years, Its like I was subconsciously just done with everything and anxiety at a all time high I could barely function and any reminder of my last job or the injury had me freeze up and feel sick.

This went on for years until a few months ago I landed in the ER for an infected tooth, which led to finally seeing my regular doctor. I explained everything and he suggested I may have PTSD, I am now in therapy, on meds and seeing my doctor regularly and feeling somewhat better. I still feel guilty of shutting off everybody who was trying to help.I am aware I am probably way past any all statue of limitations for any claims I originally had, just wanted to know if it's possible that with me being so mentally gone during that time period, I'm not sure if it can be used to toll the statue of limitations.
