wrong order/ return

I recently ordered new shorts from abercrombie and I received them but also received a second package addressed to me but inside was a dress I didn’t order with an order receipt for someone else. hopefully they will get it resent to them but…. does anyone know if “hypothetically” I could return the dress in store and get a merchandise credit?
