How long could one stay stealth in a public government role? (Hypothetical)

Discussion

Hey y’all. As most know, the state of affairs here in the United States is at a very tricky point. And as my father says every time we speak politics, “well, if you don’t like it, why don’t you change it?”

Fact is, I (20M, 21 in a month) bet I could do moderately well, if I figured out how to speak. Actually, scratch that, my political career was dead in the water even before it started swimming. But what if I did? How long could I stay stealth until they “got” me? I’m guessing, you can’t. Probably have to show some form of ID, and unfortunately I both live in Texas, and didn’t get a passport during the previous administration. That’s on laziness, but what can you do? I could say I was born on a compound, my parents didn’t believe in identification. No birth certificate. But then again, it’s not the 70s. In a Golden Girls episode, there’s a trans male politician episode. Love that show, kinda lazy on the episode but fuck it was progressive as fuck during the time. He probably had a good time. Don’t remember if it was mayor or some small role. I don’t think I would want to go for anything public-public. I just want to help the agriculture industry and our fellow man. But I do not want to be known as a transsexual man. I want to be known for my ideas, and unfortunately that wouldn’t happen during this administration. That’s the sole reason why I will never not be stealth. I am just another guy. No need in divulging my depressing medical history.

Idk, I’m yapping. I just graduated community college. The plan was to join the military this May (18 months on T) and finally do what every man in my family has done, which is serve. Alas. Guess it gives me more time to save for surgeries, but shit, I can’t get no job in my conservative rural area cause…yknow. So I do handyman work. Under the table. Cause Fuck the government. But I’d like to change that.
