crush in a different school

i kinda have a crush on this guy who’s in a different school. i met him through my current friend group, which im kind of a new member of… and from the start i thought he was kind of cute?? We met a lot (altogether) and i spent a lot of time bonding with him. Hes a really great conversationalist, polite, and really smart… he’s in a lot of honor classes and he has a lot of hobbies. The reason I kind of started liking him is because he was taking pictures of me ( one of his hobbies), and I just felt it. I felt this warm feeling at the way he saw me through his camera lens - more beautiful than I feel. Basically, we bonded a lot over winter break. However, we’ve barely met up since - and i mean BARELY. he hasn’t come to many of the hangouts so i see him like every 1-2 or MORE months. I’ve kind of forgotten abt him after a 5 month break, but we met up recently and all my feelings just bubbled up again. However, how am i supposed to spend time with him if he doesn’t come often and we don’t rlly spend time ALONE alone? and im still figuring out if I even like him. After our last hangout before the long break, one of our friends told me in secret that he thinks he likes me because he’s acting ‘different’. But after like 3ish months I heard about him having a crush on this girl in his school (though it didn’t work out). I DONT KNOW GUYS. I just wanna see him again. But this gap in time is just too much.
