What got you started in nonprofit?

Hi! I stumbled upon this subreddit and I am curious how y'all started your organization. I've always enjoyed volunteer work but I've been very busy with school. I'm intrigued by the idea of having my own nonprofit organization, although I haven't thought about the specific mission/vision of it.
