Mig Switch - any alternatives to this

I have a Mariko with no SD card reader. The lines are botched so not cost effective to repair, so I've been told. Rather than binning the console I have a few questions;

1 - would I be able to use a mig switch to play games?

2 - If so is there a cheaper alternative to it? The console is already banned so not bothered with that. It also boots to stock firmware.

3 - I assume AliExpress is the best place to order from. I've found a Mig Switch for £65
