Who do you support?

Hi, I just want to start by saying that I am really sorry for everyone who is suffering from the war. I can't even imagine how terrifying it must be for you. I am really sorry if I offend anyone in this post, I just want to know more about the situation in Kashmir before I make an opinion (especially cause everything I read seems to be conflicting with each other).

From what I have read up and learned in school, during the partition, Kashmir was initially named an independent country (state? I am not too sure about that). However, due to attacks from Pakistan, the Hindu ruler came to India for support, which agreed that Kashmir would come under Indian rule (however, having an independent government) and regain their independence once they are able to support and protect themselves. Because of this, India considers Kashmir to be part of India, while Pakistan considers Kashmir to be part of Pakistan as it is a muslim-majority state.

With what is currently happening, I am conflicted on whose side I should support. Knowing Pakistan's history of supporting terrorist groups (I did not believe it until I saw what the Pakistani defence minister said, and the pictures that showed Pakistani ministers at a funeral held for a known terrorist's family), I do believe that there is a high chance Pakistan was behind the Pahalgam attack. But with that being said, India did not have the right to attack Pakistan without evidence. I think the only opinion that matters is that of Kashmiris. I support a free, independent Kashmir, but is that what Kashmiri's want? Or do you consider yourself Indian/ Pakistani? Who do you support?
