[TOMT][SONG] Song I Cannot Find That Sounds A Lot Like "Making Plans For Nigel"...

So every time I listen to this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_OboeBSMdk "Lonely People" by America, or this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-X3Wy-svIY "Making Plans For Nigel" by XTC, my mind decides to break down like I shoved a fork in a toaster, so I cannot, no matter how hard I try, remember the song that these two remind me of.

It has the same exact, or very closely similar opening chord progression/verse chord progression. The "woo" that XTC does just after the first lyric of the song reminds me vaguely of it too.

The song would not be super super old, I reckon it would be after 2000s release, and It wouldn't be super famous otherwise I would have found it, but if you really believe the song you've found is the one, suggest it anyway, I'm running outa ideas...

I have tried song sound alike, asked my parents, posted on other sites the same question, tried "songs that sound like..." websites, tried online forums talking about "songs that sound like THIS song".

To be honest it's pissing me off, hope you guys can at least try to find something.

Thanks if you reply.
