Looking for affordable vocational schools in Istanbul

Question

Hi everyone,

I'm a 33-year-old Russian citizen planning to move to Istanbul, and I’m looking for a good and affordable vocational school (meslek yüksekokulu or similar) where I could study a humanities-related subject.

I’m not looking for something overly academic like a full university degree – more like a practical, skills-based program that still focuses on areas like languages, communication, psychology, social work, media, or cultural studies.

My goals are to gain useful knowledge and possibly find work or volunteering opportunities in related fields in Turkey afterward. My Turkish is still basic, but I’m actively learning. I also speak fluent Russian and decent English.

If anyone can recommend:

Good vocational schools in Istanbul (public or private, but preferably budget-friendly)

Schools that might accept foreign students or offer programs in English (or beginner-friendly for Turkish learners)

Any advice on the application process or legal requirements for foreigners studying in Turkey

I would deeply appreciate your help. Thank you so much in advance!
