Irish people don’t like hook ups? Why?

I’m very attractive and somehow handsome and never had any issues in getting hook ups in another country specially the Mediterranean countries (Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece etc) but when I’m in Ireland it’s very hard to get anyone to have sex with or hook ups because apparently they don’t like it very much?? I’m a foreigner.

In the beginning I thought maybe they don’t like my physique since I don’t have blue eyes or red hair or I’m not blonde like most Irish guys are, but I’ve received a lot of compliments by Irish people saying I’m beautiful and attractive, so that can’t be the issue.

So why can’t I get hook ups? It’s because is against your culture? You need to get drunk before hook up, is that it? Please explain to me!
