Please help find sci-fi manga/manual space handyman

Hi all I am trying to track down a manga/manual i read a few years ago. Plot is a man either returns from the past/ enters a spaced based game he played. He knows all the best leveling spots and missions. He gets one to clean trash in pipes but ends up falling down and has to work with the space alien squid/octopus cleaning pipes and trash to complete his level up missions. Once he gets Max affection with them he gets a special reward. Then proceeds to level up quickly and eventually works as a space mercenary group scavenging broken alien machine parts. Sorry I know it's vague any help would be greatly appreciated.
