How do you ask a guy for his number or approach someone you're into? And how do men feel when women make the first move?

I've been thinking about how dating norms are shifting and wanted to hear from both sides. If you see a guy you're into—whether it's at a bar, the gym, work, or whatever—how do you usually approach him? Do you ask for his number directly, start a conversation and hope it leads somewhere, or drop hints and wait? If you've tried it, how did it go?

And for the men: How do you feel when a woman takes the initiative and makes the first move? Do you find it confident and attractive, or does it catch you off guard? Does it change how you view the interaction or her? Do you find it Weird? Curious to hear real experiences, good or bad. This whole dynamic feels like it's changing, but not everyone seems to be on the same page. Some seem to really want to stick with the traditional “men make the first move” thing.
