Helping services for elderly?

Hello people,

I want to start my career in helping senior citizens as I love to spend time with them to make their lives easier by providing in non medical services - but I don’t want to become carer working for some caring company.

Do you think there is a demand for it? Are elders looking for these kind of services like meals prep, companion, errands, cleaning their homes, gardening etc.

My background, I am 30f working as engineer desk job which I partially hate working on screens - I am financially settled with emergency savings. Both my parents have passed away at early stage and I believe this could be the reason I love to spend time with elderly.

Any advice please?
