First DUI, located in Oregon

On friday i made the terrible, terrible mistake of driving home from the bar when I shouldn’t have. I made an improper left turn (turned into the middle lane on a 3 lane one way street) and so an officer pulled me over. I failed 2/3 tests he had me do, so he arrested me. At the police station i got a .16 on the breathalyzer test (which i agreed to do). I kept saying how sorry I was and I kept it together for the first hour, but after I was put in a cell I called my mom and just broke down sobbing and I couldn’t stop. The officer drove me home after. My court date is 05/28.

I’ve never even had a speeding ticket before. I don’t know how any of this works.. has anyone experienced this in Oregon and if so, could you tell me what you had to do? Do i need to hire a lawyer?

I’m so upset at myself. I’m lucky no one was hurt. Just last week I was talking about how awful people who drunk drive are, and now I’m one of them. I’m terrified I’ll loose my job. I don’t know what to do.
